Games: The Darkness 2 Hits In October

Top Cow and 2K Games are bringing supernatural mobster Jackie Estacado back to console game play with The Darkness 2, a game released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC October 4th in North America, and the 7th of the same month internationally. It follows 2007's million plus-selling The Darkness.

The sequel picks up two years after the original. While the original found Jackie Estacado using the darkness to chase down the killers of his girlfriend now, the don of the Estacado crime family, Jackie finds himself in the middle of a mob war after a failed attempt to take his life. The Darkness 2 features Quad wielding gameplay (the two Demon arms, and two guns), and a new art style, which can be seen in the image below.

These game play elements mirror some of the storylines the Top Cow comic has been using recently, advancing the character's development from soldier in the streets to becoming a leader of men.
