NOTE: The following is the text of the news summary from the Sunday, May 8th It's Komplicated webcast.
ITEM: Scientists engineered an all-female species of lizard. They claimed this was to better understand how unisexual lizards evolve. Uh huh. There's no reason to believe that they were breeding a horrible race of super lizards to help them in a bid for world domination. Probably. Just remember to aim for their eyes.

ITEM: You wanna play Mass Effect 3. You know you do. Unfortunately, you'll be waiting a little while longer. CNET notes that the game is being delayed until the first quarter of 2012. Hopefully that means January, as that month saw the last two versions released, but until you boot it up, who knows?

ITEM: There's a real life super hero patrolling the streets of Seattle … and he's a Black man. Phoenix Jones is 22 years old and leads the Rain City Superhero Movement. He roams the streets of the Emerald City clad in a "skin-tight, rubber, black-and-gold suit" fortified with a bullet-proof vest, stab plates, and a "ballistic cup." He's not looking for a super villain to be his arch nemesis … but honestly, it's almost like he's begging for one, isn't it?

ITEM: Finally, science believes that some black holes could be older than the big bang. Wait, what? Okay, here's the idea: instead of a static nothingness prior to the Big Bang, some cosmologists believe that the Universe is destroyed and re-created in series of big bangs and big crunches. In this model of the Universe, everything explodes outward in a big bang type event, and then over the lifespan of the Universe contracts again into a single point in a big crunch before beginning the cycle over again. This would allow for the creation of black holes in the super-dense Universe that exists prior to a big bang that could survive into the newly created Universe. Only problem is that it can't be proved. Yet. Keeping an eye on this one.
