oin us for a deep dive into the world of impostor syndrome with Carolyn Herfurth, co-founder of the Impostor Syndrome Institute. Carolyn has over 30 years of experience helping individuals and organizations overcome impostor syndrome and today she and Dr. Lycka discuss what it is and what it isn’t, its causes, and how individuals can overcome it.
Carolyn explains the seven sources of impostor syndrome and introduces three tools to cope with it: normalizing it, reframing it, and persevering despite feelings of doubt. They emphasize the importance of being gentle with oneself and seeking support from mentors or coaches. Carolyn shares insights from her own experience and directs listeners to the Impostor Syndrome Institute’s website for more resources.
Guest Bio: Carolyn Herfurth is co-founder of Impostor Syndrome Institute, the world’s No. 1 source of solutions for individuals and organizations. A nationally recognized business growth strategist, speaker and award-winning entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience, Carolyn is integral to helping the institute achieve its mission: stamp out impostor syndrome worldwide.
When she isn’t presenting Rethinking Impostor Syndrome to audiences around the globe, Carolyn is busy developing collaborations with others who share ISI’s mission, facilitates speaker-training sessions for Impostor Syndrome Institute, and together with her team, she is currently developing a coaching certification that will offer HR managers, DE&I professionals and business mentors a protocol they can use to help others stop feeling like impostors.

The Reality All Women Experience (that Men Don’t Know About)
I was diagnosed with bulbar ALS in May 2024. I was wheelchair bound. My feet hurt horribly on the foot petals. I started ALS/MND programme about 4 months ago. I’m now able to walk down the street and back at least I couldn’t do that prior to the ALS treatment. It doesn’t make the ALS go away but it did give me better quality of life. I got the treatment from Uine healthcentre .net
