Here is what I would do on guns if I had total control over the legislative system for 24 hours and could re-design the nation’s national gun laws.
At 12:01 am, I would pass a law that would ban all guns, in all situations. No ownership, no production, no sales of any kind to anyone anywhere. Clean slate. No guns and I mean it.
Ten minutes later I would slowly add the laws that would provide for the rights of gun owners and people who support the 2nd Amendment. I would have a ZOOM and experts could tell me what rights and guns should be exempted from my 100 percent ban.
Anyone via ZOOM can weigh in too while I am in my undetected legal bunker of rule and make a recommendation.
Just send me a note in the chat. I am starting from nothing. But here’s what I would surely add:
People guilty of domestic violence lose their rights, perhaps forever. You don’t need a gun if you are a loose cannon.
Mental illness? Come on now. Have some common sense. You don’t get a gun unless you go to the dark wed or the underground market.
Assault rifles? Nah. Banned. Do you want to shoot those? Join the military. If you are too old, go get a Glock or a Desert Eagle. You do not need a weapon used by the Terminator for hunting.
Juveniles? Again. Come on now, their gun contact should be regulated heavily.
Okay, that sounds insane.
But does it sound more crazy that the current situation (random shooting daily, guns everywhere, a political leadership doing nothing)? At least, I did something dramatic to wake people from their slumber.
I can barely read about or watch any news about the politics in the U.S. Congress run and controlled by the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. It is sickening.
Here we have a very serious problem of gun violence in America with random acts of violence daily and they want to paint a fence in the middle of a cornfield in Iowa to prove they are in favor of painting fences.
Why is the news covering their nonsense? Why are they in office? What are we anyway? My guess? —
Life is so decent here for most people that we are soft and sleep. Why make waves. The Wi-Fi signal is good, the Starbucks is still open down the street, Target is having another sale, and there is wine, whiskey, and weed, for sale almost anywhere.
I have a bike. I watch my church services online. I have a doctor. I have a dentist. My kid goes to a school and there is no chance they will ever teach CRT or LGBTQ ideas, and even if they did, no one really cares, because they are high.
They would welcome it whatever it is, or not, but still, afterward, they will meet at the local Starbucks, and talk about the upcoming Tears for Fears concert or the next Starbucks that will sell coffee and weed as a meal.
Hey, can I have a #3? The latte with the weed gummy bears?
Sure, would you like cinnamon sprinkles on your latte?
For the record, here is the so-called framework law being worked on that has our politicians ready to do victory laps. Its modesty screams out louder than coyote having sex —
Note, according to multiple polls for years, “a large majority of Americans support background checks for guns (88%) and ammunitions (80%), raising the legal age to buy assault weapons (82%) and red flag laws (81%), according to the poll.”
None of that is here in this. None of it. What actually is in here?
Already the talk is this deal is too radical. You see what I am saying. Americans love guns. And that love is being used for political gain by the cartel. I am not going to play the game with them and pay attention until they actually do something. I will wait.
But you decide for yourself if there is a lot missing here. Make a comment below.
I am headed to Starbucks for #3.
