I never expected to return back to the U.S to such an intense racial environment. And during my absence… what an amazing, small, temporary sense of solitude. With that said, as an expat, I still felt the double consciousness.

By now, you’ve heard about the Ferguson’s grand jury’s decision not to indict Darren Wilson for the killing of Michael Brown.
Mayhem ensued. But while people are expressing their grievances and/or celebration, it’s important to help find solutions post-Ferguson decision.
I made a very nuanced video with nothing but sociopolitical solutions. I contributed to the proverbial “dialogue” that we need to have in this country by outlining actual solutions, and you should too.
Here are a few solutions that we can implement to help alleviate the tension between Black and White Americans, and address sociopolitical & economic issues plaguing black communities in the United States of America.
White Americans, Asians, Hispanics, Native Indians…all have an interest in this fight for solutions as well.
We’re sharing the same damn land.
