Todd Fuerst is deployed and has seen the events back home. He wants all of us to have a good day.

About a year ago, my friend Todd Fuerst started getting a few people together to stand on street corners and hold signs with messages like “Never Give Up!” “Be Good to Each Other!” and “Have A Good Day!” He has no affiliation with any religious group or organization. The concept was to provide passing strangers in traffic with a simple gesture of positive interaction with the hope of turning a few people’s day around.
Todd is a veteran in the Air Force and was recently redeployed to Al Udied Air Base in Qatar. Keeping up with the events unfolding back on American soil in the past week made him feel the weight of the world on his shoulders. He made a video to share with his “Have A Good Day” community on Facebook, and in contrast to his smiling, sign waving gestures, the video shows a very honest message from a man sharing his thoughts on race, humanity, and caring for others during painful, tragic events. It’s a good reminder that even the strongest of us need the kind of encouragement and support that Todd has displayed on street corners to make strangers happy.
