Daily Mo Update
I can’t decide if I like the Mo or hate it, but it’s undeniable that it’s for a good cause. Just keep on growin’
Inspiration. Motivation. Aspiration. These are all things that you lack when you’re depressed. The sunniest day seems cold and lonely and a walk outside equals the effort of running a marathon. For some people, the only solution is medication. For others, talking about what’s getting them down can help. Regardless, these things, that seem near impossible to have when you suffer from depression, are the things you need to strive for to make a better life for yourself and kick the depression. For me, finding music that is upbeat or music that makes me feel like I am doing something epic tends to take my mind off of the downtrodden emotions that fill me. Some people prefer nostalgic music, angsty music, or music which relates to their mood, but I find a lot of times all this does is perpetuate my depression. I also tell myself “If you don’t like the way you feel, do something about it.” This is most definitely easier said than done, but if you can convince yourself that you’re in control of your depression, you won’t let it run your life. Be active. Force yourself to participate because showing up is the hardest part. If you can do that, you can do anything.

Daily Mo Update
Rockin’ the new do’. I’m finding myself reading and writing a lot more as the winter months approach. It’s all-in-all a good thing. The mental stimulation is much needed. My mustache, on the other hand, well, that doesn’t need anything. I’m halfway through the month and it’s doing its thing. For the first time in my life, I’m excited to have a well groomed beard.
Movember Awareness
“Even in times of trauma, we try to maintain a sense of normality until we no longer can. That, my friends, is called surviving. Not healing. We never become whole again … we are survivors. If you are here today… you are a survivor. But those of us who have made it thru hell and are still standing? We bare a different name: warriors.” ― Lori Goodwin
Never take for granted what someone has been through. Understanding and patience when it comes to those with PTSD is very important. Help them in any way you can, and when you can’t at least try to be understanding. You will never know the hell they faced, or what it truly did to them.

Daily Mo Update
My heart is heavy with the violent attacks around the world, especially France. F*ck ISIS, but I will not cease living because of fear.
I started today off with a few hours of manual labor- I’m working on a community garden project. Afterward, I took my 3 monkeys to the park. It was a nice fall day, and everyone had a good time. This is what weekends are about for me.
