How to unclog a sink.
I did not wear gloves because I didn’t use any chemicals. If you tried to use Liquid Plumber or Draino first, please wear gloves.
If this does not fix the clog, it would be best to hire a plumber who will snake your pipes as the clog is beyond the P trap.

we’re gonna go under there and loosen

the the p-trap and that chemical is

going to come down so if you’ve already

if you already tried liquid drain over

or liquid plumr yeah just be careful and

gonna need for older homes you may need

a channel locks newer homes really the

p-trap made of plastic and you can

usually just do it by hand and then

you’ll need a bucket make sure to get a

bucket so it catches the water that

comes down and we’ll get started okay

we’re doing today but just so you’re

aware and then this thing right here is

called a p-trap okay and like I said see

it’s made of plastic so you can actually

and even has little wings on it that

allow me to screw and unscrew it right

and I have that on the other side too

and what’s nice about the p-trap

is that it actually helps reduce the

odor in your bathroom as well but

because then water usually just kind of

sits in here but if you ever drop a ring

down down your sink this is how you

would retrieve it because it should

still be sitting there especially if you

didn’t continue to run lots of water and

flush it through it could still be

these little washers here that hold this

this nut I guess you would call it on

there and then this one actually just

thing that you need to take a look at

the lever up above that actually plugs

your drain right when you want to fill

little piece that goes into this drain

pipe so you want to make sure to go

ahead and pull that out too it’s you

know unless you had a ton of stuff in

of reach up in here and feel whether

there’s some stuff and I can feel that

gonna go ahead and unscrew

what you do is just again it’s finger

tight and I go like that okay and then I

pull it out and then then there’s some

stuff up inside there again this gets

pretty gross so I’m not going to I’m not

going to show that to you but I’m gonna

reach up inside there with something a

screwdriver or something and get that

gunk out okay so it’ll just come out at

the bottom and then we can put

everything back together and we should

be good okay so now I’m up above looking

down on my sink and here is the plug I

was talking about right and then that’s

the lever on the back side right here

right that lifts it up and when you want

to fill your sink with water and we just

connected it right so we can go ahead

and pull this out and then if you look

at this there’s a hole in it so when you

go to put it back together you need to

make sure that that that lever that we

removed underneath the sink is actually

it is going into that hole okay it’s

gonna go into that hole so that it can

move it up and down when you pull that

lever okay so there’s a little bit of

funk down inside here right now too

and I’m gonna go ahead and show you how

I clean that okay so make sure your

buckets still down underneath right I

got a pretty decent-sized bucket so I

can run a little bit of water here and

then I’m just gonna use a an old

toothbrush to make sure it’s an old

toothbrush and not your your significant

others because they’ll be pretty upset

with you unless it of course if they

don’t know about it I guess no just

joking please do not use somebody else’s

toothbrush just an old one and run a

little bit of water okay and then just

kind of scrub around here you can scrub

it all the way down again make sure that

buckets down there catching all this

you can do it from the bottom to kind of

come up and and scrub it as well

might just need to replace either the

clean that as best as you can and it’s

gonna be perfect again but then you just

put that back in there okay and then

that ball just kind of sits in that hole

make sure I can see up above where it

did attach you might need a helper to do

that when my sink I can do both at the

screw that back on I have to take a

couple tries to do that it looks like I

so I went ahead and removed my bucket

would normally just leave the bucket

there and now I’m gonna put my pee trap

back so I took this away and I washed it

out and make sure there’s no funk in the

bottom of it okay so now you’re just

gonna reverse the process here let’s

just put that guy on just kind of do it

loosely for now that’s got some gross

back get it started and then just kind
