President Donald Trump’s approach to both domestic and international policies paints a troubling picture of militarization and aggression. In his domestic policies, he has focused on increasing the presence of law enforcement and military forces on the streets of the United States. Meanwhile, in the international arena, he has resorted to threats and the use of military force to achieve his objectives in countries like Nigeria, Somalia, Iran, and Venezuela.
It is concerning to see how someone like Trump, who avoided military service citing questionable reasons, is now quick to resort to military actions and interventions in other countries. The recent invasion of Venezuela, the arrest of President Maduro and his wife without consulting Congress or following international legal protocols, is a clear demonstration of this overcompensation.
This unilateral and aggressive approach not only disregards the sovereignty and rights of other nations but also sets a dangerous precedent for powerful countries like Russia and China. Trump’s actions in Venezuela seem driven by a desire to benefit U.S. oil companies and potentially even pave the way for the annexation of the country.
Furthermore, the contrast between Trump’s actions and the efforts of Nobel Peace Prize laureate, María Corina Machado Parisca, is stark. While Machado has worked tirelessly for peace and democracy in Venezuela, Trump’s actions in the region seem driven by self-interest and a disregard for international norms.
One can’t help but wonder if Trump’s ultimate goal is to push for Venezuela to become the 51st state of the United States. The implications of such a move would be significant and could further deteriorate relations with other countries in the region.
In conclusion, it is crucial for Congress and the international community to closely monitor and scrutinize Trump’s actions to prevent further escalation and protect the principles of sovereignty and peace in the global arena.

Great article. I’m Australian and after the forceful invasion of Venezuela added to the missile attacks on alleged drug boats Trump should be charged under war crimes for murder at the very least. He should be treated the same as the very tyrants and terrorists like Saddam Hussain that the American government condemned and trialled for their acts. Apart from a hypocrite and narcissist who the hell does Trump think he is.!! He is no better than and the same as the “terrorists” and “tyrants” he hunts.
His actions are against everything we believe in as Americans.
