I believe there is tons of honor in American life and men. It is headlines like these that get read as truth, too bad. I have been taking the positive side of things for quite some time. I believe people are good. Almost all of us.

Being a male I can say masculinity is mostly a stereotype, surely we have people in society that aren’t a spitting image of the Hulk. I think I get more flak for being an underweight gentleman than mr brain freeze eating a twinky and scratching his ass in public. But hey that’s just me, now I sound like the stereotype. But you see where I am going with this RIIIIIIGGGHHHTTTT??!!
I get you DERP. Stereotypes are just that—a type. There’s good and bad either way you go and it seems that there is judgement coming from some direction no matter what you do. I think it’s important to be happy with who you are, regardless of what other’s think, take care of yourself and be kind. How’s that for a motto?
There is plenty of honor left in American life. The issue is now we are into the generation of kids that are so use to getting everything they want through instant gratification, even if it is a participation trophy. The honor has to be taught and not just given out freely. As for the attendance to rip down the masculinity of American men, well I don’ want to upset anyone but a man has to learn what to do from role models (i.e. dad, uncle, grandfather, etc…) but when the men don’t know or wont do anything, someone had to… Read more »
Thank you for your comments, Will. There has been a lot of discussion on this topic in a couple of groups, and no one has made the same connection as you. Excellent observation. I appreciate you bringing that up because I think there is some truth in it.
