Let the blue sky meet the blue sea. Let the line blur. Let the distance between what is above and what is below dissolve, just for a moment. Let them touch. Let them finally understand each other.
Some days, love is exactly that. Two things born in different worlds, trying to meet somewhere in the middle. A sky that dreams of depth, and a sea that longs for light. Both are beautiful on their own, but aching to belong.
I used to think we were like that. You, the sky. Light. Free. The kind of person who made people look up. And me, the sea. A little heavy, always holding more than I showed, always learning how to stay even when I wanted to drift.
We were different, yes. But somehow, we worked. Until we didn’t. Until the space between us grew wider than the horizon could hold. Until we forgot how to meet.
Now, I stand quietly between the sky and the sea, wondering if they still miss each other the way I miss you. I wonder if they remember how soft it felt when their blues melted into one.
Maybe some things aren’t meant to stay. Maybe some meetings are only meant to remind us that connection is possible. That opposites can align, even if just for a moment.
Still, I look for you. In long silences and wind-chased waves. In the blue of things that try to belong to both earth and air.
Let the sky meet the sea. Let the past meet the present. Let you meet me, even if it’s only in memory. Even if it’s only in the blue.
