The heart is a muscle. Mine is strong. I’ve been loving for a long time. I was born love personified.
I am love personified, the very definition of love. I’m not envious of you. I wish you well. I’m your biggest cheerleader. I don’t mind being the wind beneath your wings. Unseen. I believe in you. I want to help you realize your dreams. I love you. I’m safe. You can be vulnerable with me. I’m good for you.
Love understands your pain. I can love you when you hurt. I can help you heal. Assist your growth. Real love always wants you to grow. You have to want love and not push her away; she won’t make you stay. She won’t force you to love her or receive her love. But love is there all the same.
I’m love personified. Which means I love myself as well. I love myself enough to leave you, if I need to. Why would love ever need to leave? Love needs to leave when you try to change her. Love is strong. When you try to make her weak, she has to leave. When you try to change her into rage, she has to leave. You have to let love be. I love you even when you hurt me. I love you when you frighten me. I love you when you betray me. Remember I love you, even if I have to leave.
Love’s nature cannot be changed. When your actions make her feel insecure, she has to leave. When you physically abuse her she has to leave, needs to leave. Love is not a punching bag or a whipping post. She’s much too strong for that.
But if I leave, understand there is no love lost. Love never ends. When love protects love, love protects you.
