Where did this water come from? Where is it going?
It’s moving very fast, like it’s in a hurry
I wonder how far it will go
How long it will take for it to return? Will it return?
Water is magical, sacred , mystical.
It can cleanse, heal, soothe
Make all things new;
But it can destroy too; strangle you.
Water allows us to contain it; we have its permission
Until we don’t…
Then it shows us that we were never really in control
