As I share more of my journey of The Making of an Erotic Massage Therapist, I have a photo of a couple getting an Couples Sensual massage that came up as a good memory.
There are so many beautiful possibilities in the world of touch, of erotic massage. We developed different experiences that included a double massage, which was 4 hands on one body, this Couple’s Massage and many others with a partner this is an experience of deep sharing.
Something really interesting happens here, and it’s something I do with couples in my practice. It’s about resonance, about being in sync with each other. Very often we’re not. This is when it feels like we keep missing each other, that we’re constantly not connected, regardless of what we do.
It causes a deep feeling of disquiet, of frustration. Something’s not quite right, we don’t know what it is, but we feel it. It’s about energy. And it manifests as a disconnect that we can’t pinpoint, it’s not what we say, not what we do. It’s there.
Massaging a couple together, and I’ve developed different ways of doing this to bring your energy together. It creates a connection, a resonance. It becomes a space of quiet, together. It brings your energies together.
From a healing perspective it doesn’t start as an erotic massage experience. And here I remind you that we use sensuality and the energy of that touch as a healing force. It starts slowly, gently, and we expand into the Erotic.
There is such power in this for a couple. It opens the space for the words to come, and for the words to come out. Often being out of sync is that there is something in us, between us, is subconscious, it’s deep inside, expressing in ways that are a result of an inner disturbance in the energy field.
We don’t know what it is, but it’s there. The body is the place where we can open the energy, relax, release, and allow it to flow, to be seen, acknowledged, expressed and cleared. And touch is the way this happens.
It’s often been said that all we need is within us, we need to learn how to bring it out, and this touch connects with the wisdom of the body and allows the possibilities to flow.
