High Schooler Apollos Hester riffs on the attitude of success, on the football field and in life.
—
East View High school wide receiver, Apollos Hester helped his team’s comeback from two touchdowns down to win 42-41. But that was just the beginning. In his post-game interview, with uncommon poise and unbridled enthusiasm, Apollos captures so many of the life lessons we can take from sports:
“Sometimes in life you’re going to start slow . . . but always always finish hard and finish fast.”
“All it takes to be successful is an attitude.”
“It’s an awesome feeling to truly believe that you’re going to be sucessful, regardless of the situation, regardless of the scoreboard, you’re going to be successful.”
The combination of his infectious smile and wisdom beyond his years, makes this speech one for the ages.
