Assange was granted political asylum by Ecuador since he fled to its embassy while Sweden was seeking to arrest him under the shadow of a sexual assault accusation. But Sweden closed their case against Assange in May 2017. Now, Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno says it may be time for Assange to pack up. That could pose a problem for one of the world’s most famous snoops: The U.S. still wants to arrest him for leaking classified files provided by Chelsea Manning. Should British police arrest Assange for skipping bail when he first moved into the Ecuadorian embassy, it might pave the way for extradition to America. Ironically, that doesn’t seem to bother Social. Despite years of advocacy for online freedom, Assange sees 64 percent negatives across social media. –Hugo Guzman
