These reptilian djinns flit around the ecology as viviparous will ‘o the wisps.
Like miniature bolts of lightening, they move across rocks and walls in search of prey.
Though when stilled for a moment, their ancient lineage becomes apparent, as does their incredible adaptations to the quick life of the hunter.
Right now, one senses the sheet latency of this animal, no outward movement, but a coiled tension ready to spring into life.
All that moves is that antediluvian eye, slowly and with intention.
It’s eagle like focus pierces every shadow and crevice.
The ‘ear’ moves in unison, its whole being alive with sensory awareness.
Then suddenly with a flash of its brilliant armour it is gone.
There is a deep ancestral thrill in sharing for a moment its free wildness.
