I remember reading in the Gene Keys book about Gene Key 40. Gene Key 40 is related to one of the Seven Sacred Seals and is responsible for our physical body and heals the repression of our emotions. In his book, Richard Rudd comments, “Karma is deep physical tension expressed as fear, and it inhabits every cell of your body.” Fear and repression may be the biggest causes of physical illness, cancer and overall disease on our planet from an alternative health perspective. This is not meant to scare you but to help you open up to a paradigm shift: If we all learn to release tension out of the physical body (and thus release fear and the repression of emotions) we will eventually eradicate disease.
From a psychological science perspective, we do know that trauma, stress and fear has far reaching affects on our health later in life. No matter which way you process information, via science or spirituality, the message is clear: Stress and trauma, that goes unhealed, destroys our physical and emotional health. THIS is the source of the upcoming mental health crisis that we need to turn into an opportunity.
We have become so fearful during COVID-19 (for good reason). Yet, our media is often not covering the very important need for complete physical relaxation so we can purge our toxic emotions. Our will to surrender to our complete and utter exhaustion from this pandemic is what our bodies will need in order to replenish ourselves to meet our goals in 2021. Complete surrender also requires us to now be more cautious about our diet and health. Energetic exhaustion often comes from a problem in our metabolism and our gut. Most of us are eating but not extracting the nutrients necessary to create energy. Instead, we have become used to powering through low energy days and using stimulants to do so. The Universe is asking us to stop and find more authentic ways to restore our energy levels.
The other reason why it is so important for us to heed this call to nurture and care for our body is that this type of exhaustion is what is responsible for our loneliness. When we are not connected to our inner strength, our resources get pulled in too many directions causing us to feel disconnected. It is not because we are not able to go out and meet people but because we have not taken the time to turn inward, to listen to our bodies and take care of our health. We either give in or become angry with others when pushed while in this state of exhaustion. It is either the denial of emotions or the expression of rage.
We must remember the lost art of doing nothing and to work on the art of physical relaxation. This means prioritizing a restorative yoga practice, meditation, Yoga Nidra etc… It also means getting better with our personal boundaries to protect our energy in loving ways.
As we continue to navigate the holiday season, ask yourself how you can use the next couple of weeks to find real restoration and replenishment. What do you really need to eat to be healthy? What is it that your soul is craving?
Do these things and watch your joy return for the start of a brand new year.
