On Monday, Stafford agreed to a five-year, $135 million extension with the team ($92 million guaranteed), which makes him the highest-paid player in league history. The 29-year-old quarterback was an MVP candidate for a large chunk of last season, finishing with 4,327 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while helping Detroit sneak into the postseason with a 9-7 record. The Lions—long known for their instability—have some stability at the quarterback position for the first time in a long time, with Stafford starting every game since 2011. So while his success hasn’t transferred from the regular season into a serious run for the Super Bowl, Social seems to approve of his mega-deal. Over the last three days, Stafford has a 64 percent positive score on Social, which is just a tad below his completion percentage of 65.3 in 2016. –Alex Shultz
