And again I am bare
stripped down to what is real
my feelings boiling like hot water waiting
for a cooling, a chilling of the fear…
a house guest who will not leave
but the image is a ghost fading
reminding me of an old tattoo…
at one time it meant everything.

It is time to turn the page
open the book wider…
read within the lines
and in between the lines…
where new visions and hopes are born
appear as if an act of magic
even though they have been watered with faith.
