She was at the beach after a long College day, overwhelmed by failed test and lost expectations. She sat at the seashore questioning herself about her life and her existence.
She was lost in her flood of thoughts, she barely noticed the world around her, until a ball suddenly hit her, from that pool of her questioning thoughts, she snapped back into the reality and saw a young girl running towards her, apologizing. Her bright eyes and cute innocent smile pulled her out of her lost world, bringing her back to the present moment, as she handed the ball back to girl she began to notice the blissful noise of the sea, the joyful sound of children playing, the laughter of friends pushing each other into the waves and a family clicking pictures together, capturing the moments.
In that instant she felt many phases of life converging around her. Memories of her pasts flash through her mind reminding her of her own journey. All those memories of childhood plays, teenage dreams and lost friendships. She realised how far she had come despite the setbacks.
In those recollection of memories she started appreciating the beauty of her own story, she understood the life’s richness comes from its ups and downs.
She saw the beautiful sunset, reminding her that this face will eventually pass, and a new day will come with the hope of a new fresh start.
