Happy Thanksgiving! I’m approaching this Thanksgiving differently this year. I’m very Thankful like many of us for our health, family, friends career, etc. However as I’ve gone down the path of self-discovery, what I’m truly Thankful this year is for all my failures in relationships, business and family. A long time ago a teacher of mine said Chris, failures are mistakes that are merely lessons to learn from. Learn the lesson and move on, don’t learn the lesson it will come back to you again.
I don’t beat myself up anymore for my mistakes. I’m doing the best I can to be a loving man. One must be compassionate, kind and loving to himself/herself in order to be that light to everyone else. Forgiveness is a key component on this path of self-discovery. We must forgive ourselves for all our mistakes in order to be that loving and forgiving person, especially when people make their mistakes that affect us directly or indirectly. When the ones closest to us do something that may seem unforgivable, we know it’s a lesson for us to learn from. We know it’s part of their path of self-discovery and for that we love them for who they are; but, that must not stop us from continuing down our path of growing and learning of oneself.

This leads into all the pain and suffering I’ve gone through and you have gone through. Yes, pain and suffering. I’m Thankful for all of it! Thankful that I’ve been brought to my hands and knees, crying on the floor, more than once. Crying for help, crying to take the pain away. Asking for help. This has taught me humility and surrender. For all this pain has given me the courage to tell you the reader I love you! You are not alone in this quest. The days of pain and suffering will pass, it looks different for each one of us. Don’t run from the pain, lean into it. Call out to your Higher Power- (for me it is simple GOD) for assistance and it shall be granted. For it is the one who can embrace this pain and suffering, knowing its part of one’s growth. For there will be times in our lives that there is pain and suffering, but now we have the tools to know that this is a storm that will pass. For we have made the decision that we want to be the change in the world instead the world changing us.
We are Humble Warriors fighting the good fight. We are proud of our scars in the battle of self-discovery. For we have this inner knowing that in order to truly LOVE everyone and everything in this world, we must keep working on ourselves daily. Getting to place that we truly LOVE who we are. Being Thankful for all our blows in life we have taken big and small as this is part of the process. We are the courageous ones that take action. For we are the Humble Warriors that walk here and take full responsibility for our lives. We don’t blame anyone or any circumstances for our lives. For the Humble Warrior knows this is part of the journey.
The Humble Warrior walks with the manta I am Love! I am Everything!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Live Bravely,
Chris
