You know that moment in your life when you feel compelled to turn the page and start a new chapter? Or, in some cases, even a new book? With new plots, mysteries, dreams, discoveries, and characters?
It takes more than courage for that, I’ve learned. Perhaps a little audacity. Because suddenly, your routine is restructured. You find yourself facing a reality that, still very recent, doesn’t even seem like yours. You live as if you were watching from the balcony, your entire life being changed without you being able to even scream.
Losing composure is not allowed. Everyone goes through changes, and you are no different from anyone else. So, you swallow your tears and move on. As if all your past is now right there. People, things, and feelings, in a not-so-distant past, but need to be set aside a bit. Otherwise, my friend, you’ll lose it.
Sometimes, it’s necessary to let go or, even more important, to know how to go. To go, without looking back at what once was, with the certainty that the future holds a life full of dreams and achievements for you. A little faith fits well here.
And that’s it, life is an eternal change. Don’t be under the illusion that you will always be the same person, with the same fears and tastes, and, mainly, that you will live forever with the same circle of people around you. At some point, from one moment to the next, I would say, the circle will open, and you’ll need to learn a new direction, which will lead you to discover a new version of yourself. More refined, more mature, and, why not, much happier.
After all, I discovered that not all change is bad. Even if it truly seems bad. With that, I relaxed a bit and decided to accept what life proposes to me with more eagerness to grow, to evolve. Changes no longer scare me.
Believe me, from everything, you can take something very good, as long as you are open to it. A lesson, new friendships, new loves, new moods, new expectations. And this will forever transform you into a new person, much stronger and more self-assured. Even if that little butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling never leaves you.
I’ve learned, through life’s many twists and turns, that we need to pay attention to ourselves, to our reactions to problems and challenges. We need to truly face life head-on, like someone who doesn’t give up easily, or never gives up. This will make us true winners.
