Have you ever stopped to think that what drives us in life, whether for progress or not, are the stories we tell ourselves? By the story you tell yourself, understand all the interpretation we make of the facts around us, the internalization of them, reflection and consequent response.
The answer comes in the form of attitudes, an attitude taken can change our destiny, putting us on the path of progress or not. It is free will, something happened, how you interpret, internalize, reflect and respond depends only on you!
Your greatest enemy is within you!
The way you choose to act has repercussions on the Law of Attraction, your attitudes and thoughts attract events to your life. Free will and the Law of Attraction go hand in hand, one is a consequence of the other.
When you face a situation or fact, after the process I describe, you tell yourself a story, this story has so many real arguments, it is so strong in some cases that you come to have your opinion formed, you become irreducible. You have a conclusion about this story and your attitudes are based on it.
We can think of countless examples, common, that are happening around us all the time.
The other day I was worried about someone who didn’t come home, went out to a certain place that would be very fast, but didn’t arrive and didn’t call. I called the cell phone insistently, no answer, I called until it dropped. What were the facts? The facts were: apparent delay, cell phone doesn’t answer and that’s it. I told myself a terrible story, of tragedy, it was so strong that it gave me palpitations, an absurd and unnecessary suffering. Why do we always think of the worst first? He arrived after a while, went to another place and didn’t tell, cell phone on silent. No matter how much good things wanted to populate my mind, my negative story didn’t allow me!
And how many times have you stopped doing something or dared, because you told yourself a story of failure? Because you told yourself the story that you are incapable! That stopped you, prevented you, deprived you!
On the other hand, how many times have you distanced yourself from someone or never got close, because you told yourself that you would not be well received or accepted? Instead of investing all your energy in this exchange of glances, conversation or whatever…
Obviously, even the process of telling ourselves bad stories, which make us progress at a much slower pace, are part of the process of maturation and learning.
At the end of the day, if you only do what you know, you will never be anything more than you already are! Don’t let the stories you tell yourself stagnate you in your comfort zone! Your greatest enemy is within you!
