Life will break you.
That is not a warning, it is a guarantee.
There are moments when the floor gives way beneath you, when the people you trusted betray you, when the plans you built collapse in your hands like wet sand. And in those moments, you will learn who you are.
Not in the victories, not in the applause, not in the fleeting days where everything seems effortless. You find yourself in the struggle. When your body aches, when your spirit trembles, when your mind whispers the lie that you cannot go on.
But you do. Somehow, you always do.
The hard truth is that life does not owe us comfort. It does not owe us safety. It will strip you down and test you in ways you never asked for. Sometimes the challenges come from outside, a diagnosis, an accident, a loss. Other times, they come from within, from the choices you made when you ignored your own voice, when you handed your power to someone who never deserved it, when you stayed too long in places that drained you.
It is easier to point to fate and call ourselves victims. Harder, much harder, is to admit the truth: that somewhere, somehow, we participated in our own undoing. We tolerated. We settled. We silenced the warning bells in our chest. We told ourselves stories that excused what should have never been excused.
And yet, this is where redemption lives.
Because the same courage it takes to admit your part is the same courage it takes to reclaim your strength. To say: yes, I played a role in my own suffering, but I will also play the lead in my own resurrection.
Faith is not about pretending the storm doesn’t exist. It is about standing in the center of it and knowing it cannot have you. It is about planting your feet when the winds rage and saying, “Not today. I was made for more than this.”
When you come to terms with your own flaws, you are no longer afraid of them. When you stare down your worst mistakes and still choose to rise, no one can use your past against you. Struggle forges you in fire, and the fire does not care whether you are ready. It burns, it reshapes, it purifies.
And in the quiet aftermath, when the smoke clears, you begin to see differently. Peace does not arrive like a lightning bolt; it seeps into you slowly, in stolen moments. In the breath you take before answering a cruel word. In the choice to walk away instead of clinging to what harms you. In the gentleness you show yourself when your body is still healing, when your heart is still learning how to trust.
Peace is not something the world gives you. Peace is something you claim.
I have learned this the hard way.
Through heartbreak.
Through loss.
Through battles that left me raw and bleeding, through nights when I prayed into silence and wondered if anyone, God, the universe, my own soul was even listening.
But here I am. Stronger not because I avoided pain, but because I walked through it. More faithful not because I always knew the answers, but because I learned to live without needing them.
And still, each morning,
I rise and whisper to the universe.
Not with arrogance.
Not with demands.
But with a kind of prayer that is less about asking and more about aligning. A conversation between me and the greater mystery that holds us all.
It goes something like this:
Guide me to see what I’ve been blind to. Remind me where my power lives. Help me surrender where I cannot control. Keep me humble, keep me strong. May my heart be a refuge for truth, and may my voice be a beacon for others still stumbling through their own shadows.
These whispers are not wishes. They are commitments. And they are the foundation of something I have been creating something born from both my fire and my faith.
Meta Prayers.
They are not just words. They are a practice. A rhythm. A way of bringing yourself back to center when the world pulls you apart.
Because if life will always test us and it will, then we need rituals that root us, reminders that steady us, and prayers that pull us back to truth.
Meta Prayers are coming soon. For now, hold fast to this: life will break you, yes. But it will also remake you, if you let it.
