What is Unspoken?
Unspoken is a short film that brings awareness to father/son relationships. The film addresses the frustrations of broken communication within these relationships as well as the beauty of when they are overcome. It’s a film that came from my heart and the conversations I’ve had with many other young men who long for a closer, more honest relationship with their father.
The story follows Kyle Parsons, the 19-year-old son of an ex-boxing champion, as he tries to gather money to pay for his father’s lung treatment by participating in underground fights. The story is set in a run-down suburb near warehouses and docklands. My hope for the film is that it inspires young men and their fathers to think about their relationships. It’s going to be gritty, painful, heartfelt, beautiful, and real.

What do we need to make this film?
We are looking to fundraise a total of $4000 dollars to cover the entire process of this film from pre-production all the way through post-production and distribution. Check out our Indie GoGo to gain full insight into our project.
Why should you donate?
Films have the ability to influence greatly in our current media consuming culture. We want to harness this influence to positively impact men who struggle with communication. In donating, you’re not just supporting a project that will be exciting and entertaining, but a project that is also ordered towards a deeper message of good. We are a group of filmmakers that are committed to making content that will dive into the brokenness of humanity and reveal that light that can redeem these broken factors. All donations are also tax deductible through John Paul the Great Catholic University.
