What do I Have to Lose, Mr. Trump?

Better to be a liar’s fool than an insane man’s slave. This is the attitude I have going into Election 2016. There’s no happy medium, whatsoever. Six in one hand, a half of dozen in the other. There’s no better candidate. There’s no greater good. What are we stuck with? Relying on the lesser of the two evils?

If I have to vote this year. Which, I don’t have to, I want to. Because I feel like I still can be part of a needed impact at the polls. If we don’t vote one way, the other way wins. Read between my lines. Our options are a liar and a crazy man.

At first, I was trying to not pay attention to the many news reports of Trump saying this or Trump saying that. Then, I had to pay attention when he said to black voters, like myself, ‘What the hell do you have to lose?’ And might I add, Trump has always made a speech to black voters across a predominantly white audience. So, who was he really talking to? Only reason I heard about it is through media. He didn’t go into a black church. He didn’t visit a black community. He wasn’t at the NAACP. He was at one of his rallies with his so called 49% of supporters, rallying for America to be white again.

So, in all honesty. I ask, again, ‘What do I have to lose?’ Mr. Trump. Well. Let me tell you. Every time you speak about the state of affairs between black people and the police. Wait. I haven’t heard Trump speak on that, yet. Let me get my thoughts straight. Mr. Trump, I have two sons to lose. I have my freedom and their freedoms, to lose. Voting for you is like turning myself in to the slave hunter so Massa can put me back to work in his field.

Voting for you is like me giving up on controlling my own affairs and placing my life and my family’s lives into the hands of a mad man. I mean, come on, now. He stood on national TV and gave Russia the green light to spy on us. The target was more directed at Hillary. But, still. Do I want this man as my President? ‘What do I have to lose?’

He also predicted he would get over 95% of the black vote. 95%? Really? Oh, I get it. 85% of the population, represents the masses, who are blind, deaf, and dumb. 10% are the rich, slave makers of the poor, the 85%. That leaves 5% left, knowing the truth behind the lies being told by this mad man. He’s counting on votes from the masses who he thinks don’t know any better, obviously. He’s counting on votes from the rich, who want to stay rich and stay in positions to make more and more slaves out of the poor.

He can’t count that 5%. Because that 5% is not falling for the okey doke. That 5% is you. That 5% is me. That 5% is the poor and righteous who do not believe the lies and the teachings of the 10%. That 5% knows that we, as black people, have everything to lose. Everything to lose to a man who courts white supremacists and has a history of housing discrimination against blacks and other POC.

Furthermore, he knows nothing of the black community. Saying that we all live in poverty and have no jobs lets me know how in touch with my community he is. If I were that poor and desperate, then yes. I might have nothing to lose by voting for you. But, I haven’t seen those types of communities in ages. And, no, I do not wish to. You don’t have my vote, Donald Trump. And, you never will. I have too much to lose.
