This week Andy Grant is joined by a man who goes by the name, “MGTOW Universe,” to share his thoughts on what MGTOW is and isn’t. If you aren’t familiar with the term, MGTOW stands for Men Going Their Own Way. This show is a follow up to Men Going Their Own Way with Anthony Simeone, which we did last month and got lots of comments on YouTube and Soundcloud. Even though most of them simply attacked and called me names, Real Men Feel did find some men we could engage with.

After hearing that MGTOW was a group of angry men who hate women and blame them for everything, Andy was eager to have a conversation with someone involved in MGTOW. At the core, MGTOW is concerned with male disposability and believes that society doesn’t care about men and that women are not held accountable. They think that any man who looks at the pros and cons of being in a relationship with a woman, removing all emotion, will see the sane and obvious choice is not to get involved.

MGTOW U says that we’ve been conditioned to believe that marriage is fulfilling, but emotions change — it is just too risky. Every relationship ends and most end in court which is a system that is entirely biased against men.
Sadly, MGTOWs don’t believe any of the problems they point out can be fixed, so they withdraw and “go their own way.” In the end, MGTOW struck Andy as an extremely pessimistic worldview, but he agreed with MU that society needs to listen to angry men; before it is too late.

Mgtow and any other groups advocating for a complete separation between men and women, just as the rise of women working as online sex workers, are nothing but a very clear attack to the old family values that we once had. In twenty years from now, what’s going to be? We will be a society of people living behind a screen, women getting the so needed attention (Instagram, etc) and men the so needed sex (porn, online sex workers, etc), again from the screen? My own 2 cents on some of the topics. -What is MGTOW? Pulling back from society and serious romantic involvement with women. A re-centering of self for the benefit of self. Self-actualization and self-improvement. -Is it good for society? That depends on how you define good. Men are part of society and for the men who are MGTOW or who can identify with it but haven’t discovered it yet I’d say YES it can be very good. You sound like someone with an advanced degree in a soft science. Nothing against advanced degrees; I have one. However, you have missed the forest for the trees. Why can’t society and women admit their mistakes and go back to life like in the early 20th century. Sure, it had problems, but their problems were a cakewalk compared to ours today. Men had feelings and could cry, however rare. Women could get away with extreme emotions if it was justified, not whenever they wanted. Women weren’t usually in leadership positions. Like many similar recent fashionable quirky pseudo trends, much of this ignores what’s behind the emotions driving what is essentially a losing (pseudo-) cause. There are behavioral drivers at work in all of us that aren’t going to budge an inch, don’t really care about popular opinion, especially those so badly mistaken in ways that reveal unresolved frustration of one or several forms.
