To love and to be loved is the easiest thing that can ever happen.
But to keep that love alive? That’s another story.
Yes, you heard me right.
Love is a feeling, and feelings fade away.
Then tell me — what are you going to do when that crazy, butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling disappears? When the person you were mad about just weeks ago now feels… ordinary?
What do you do then?
Do you leave?
Do you run, thinking the next person will be different?
Lol.
Let me tell you something real:
Instead of jumping from person to person trying to find Mr. or Mrs. Right, take that time to study your partner. Learn them. Know them to the point where you can feel it when they’re having a bad day or notice something is off before they even say a word.
Learn their movements. Learn how they communicate. Learn how they love.
And let’s talk about communication.
Men, we are terrible at it.
That’s why many men lose their relationships, lose their families, and lose themselves in silence.
If your wife or girlfriend isn’t treating you the way you want, tell her straight up. Don’t be afraid she might leave you. If she does, that means she was never meant to stay. Let her go.
And when you’re struggling, don’t say, “I’m a man, I can handle this.”
My brother, you will die with that mindset. Share your problems. Let your partner in. Let her help you carry that weight.
These small things — communication, learning each other, honesty — these are what keep love alive when the feelings fade.
Because they will fade sometimes. It’s normal.
But love is more than just a feeling. It’s built in the everyday moments, in the courage to be honest, and in the choice to stay and grow together even when it feels hard.
Love is all about these small things.
Remember that.
