We meet people who promise to stay. They smile, they laugh, and for a while, they make the world feel a little lighter, a little better. But there comes a day when something shifts—maybe it’s in the way they look at you, or how the warmth in their voice fades, or how they stop showing up the way they used to. And it’s not the change that breaks your heart; it’s the realization that you never expected them to be the ones who would.
Isn’t it strange how life teaches us that nothing is permanent, yet when it comes to people, we hold onto the hope that they’ll be the exception? The ones we call apne—our own, the ones who felt like home—are the ones from whom we never expected the silent retreat.
It’s Not the Change That Hurts…
It’s the shattered expectations that pierce deeper than the silence ever could. We understand that people change, circumstances evolve, but somewhere inside, we feel a sense of betrayal when the change happens in someone who was once so close.
They say, “Expectations lead to disappointments,” but how can you not expect from the ones you shared your heart with? Isn’t that natural? Isn’t that human? Yet, the pain reminds us that not every bond remains the same, no matter how much we want it to.
Love, Trust, and Hope – The Fragile Trio
What happens when trust crumbles and love feels like an unspoken memory? We find ourselves clinging to the hope that things will go back to how they were. But somewhere deep down, you know that the ones who change aren’t coming back the same way. They may return, but it will never be the same.
It’s a bitter truth, but one we must accept. No matter how much we gave, how much we loved, how much we invested in that relationship—sometimes, people change in ways we can’t control. And all we’re left with are memories of who they used to be.
Embracing the Hurt ❤️🩹
But even in this heartache, there’s beauty in remembering the love we shared. We may feel shattered, but we are not broken. The pain we carry is a reminder of our ability to love deeply, without holding back.
It’s okay to miss the past versions of people who once mattered. It’s okay to remember the good, even when they’ve turned into strangers. Because at the end of the day, love—even unreciprocated, even changed—deserves to be felt.
Final Thought 🥀
So, no—kisi ke badal jaane se koi fark nahi padta, because change is inevitable. But what stings is that we never expected it from the ones we thought would be our constant.
But maybe, just maybe, it’s these very experiences that teach us the most about life, love, and letting go. And as much as it hurts, we grow stronger in the process.
