Only because I’d written about him previously did I recall that Donald Trump has a Black Cabinet Member named Scott Turner. Since his appointment, I haven’t heard anything at all, so I did a search, the first time getting no results. When Ben Carson was HUD Secretary, he was often in the news though rarely for a good cause. He bought expensive new furniture for his office (later blaming his wife), and had his name removed from a school in his home of Detroit.
I dug deeper and found that Turner has an issue of his own with spending money renovating his office. To his credit, he recently stopped HUD foreclosures in the area of Texas devastated by floods. I’m putting out an APB on Scott Turner, a former motivational speaker who has apparently stopped speaking. In the meantime, I reprint what I wrote about him previously to fill this space.

I promise you I was just thinking about this and decided to research it which is how I stumbled across this article. His invisibility in the administration is striking. Now, I don’t watch Trump’s cabinet meetings so I don’t know his record of attendance. However, what I do know is if he is indeed present, you certainly wouldn’t know it by reading any article about the cabinet meeting. He doesn’t even get an honorable mention in any of those pieces.
