Why Successful Men in Tech Have No Luck in Dating…

100% of the time when otherwise-successful men in tech come to me having no luck in dating, and convinced that ‘women just don’t like men like me’ —

I take a look at a few key indicators, and it’s immediately clear what’s really going on.

Men do not know how to put their best foot forward (through no fault of their own).

Now, here’s the thing:

I’ve worked with a man who is shorter than me, who matched with numerous fantastic women on dating apps — and got more dates than he knew what to do with!

I’ve had men with non-monogamous relationship requirements immediately match with qualified women (and start relationships!)

I’ve had men with outside-the-box sexual desires easily find accepting, interested women.

And it all comes down to this:

Be specific both about who you are and what you’re looking for in your profile.

Write clearly, from the heart, and reveal something deep about you.

We are all bored hearing the same “I have a dog and love to hike” statements.

The kind of women who you will want to spend your life with are craving men who are relational and self-aware — who show they have done some personal growth work.

According to Mark Manson, “Studies have…found that women judge a man’s status far less on actual physical dimensions and far more on style, grooming, and how men present themselves.”

But unfortunately, you have likely never encountered anything except terrible mainstream dating advice and dark ‘just-so’ stories about women that make you feel bad about yourself and (secretly) embittered towards women.
