Fairytales have long served as examples of love relationships in our culturally and media-infused modern world. These age-old tales depict a romantic love story in which the protagonist and heroine have a happily ever after where love triumphs over all obstacles.
However, in today’s world, is this fairytale formula practical or even beneficial? What do you think about this?
Fairly tales are predictable. all of us know — it ends With Happily Forever. This is typically Like — when two people meet, encounter difficulties, triumph over them through love, and ultimately live happily ever after.
Our cultural mentality is firmly imbued with the image of a perfect relationship due to the innumerable novels, movies, and songs that have recounted this tale.
…
You know What are the biggest and foremost problems in fairytale types of relationships? It is perfectionism!
One problem with the fairytale formula is how it presents an idealized version of reality. In these stories, characters often stumble upon their perfect match effortlessly, and their love is depicted as flawless and unwavering.
But, it’s important to remember that real-life relationships aren’t always as perfect as we think. You can’t force a person to change according to you.
Every relationship in this modern world is UNIQUE and It requires effort and growth from both partners.
And what do think about this saying?
“True Love Overcome All The Obstacles”
I guess you have heard this in many different different TV shows and movies. This is one thing Common in all romantic movies. Not only in romantic movies but also in other movies.
Every weekend, I start my TV to watch Netflix, I am finding this thing common in every show and movie I see — Hero and Heroine Solves All the Problems…
But Do you think so? Does this happen in the real world?
The idea that love can overcome all obstacles is another fundamental problem with the fairytale paradigm. I believe Love is a strong feeling, but it can’t solve all of life’s issues.
Financial stress, conflicting ideals, Personal development, and outside influences are all examples of the kinds of difficulties that actual Relationships confront.
Expecting love to fix everything is a certain way to end up disappointed.
Equally problematic is the ‘HAPPILY AFTER EVER’ — It implies that the search for love is the final destination.
A Relationship is, in fact, a continuous journey. Constant care, dialogue, and adjustment are necessary. People aren’t prepared to put in the effort required to keep a strong, long-term relationship going after reading the fairytale conclusion.
The Problems in fairy tales are often settled quickly and involve outside forces, such as wicked witches or curses.
But in Real relationships problems, on the other hand, stem from within and need for more than just a magic spell to resolve. They call for EMAPTHy and TOLERANCE, and, in extreme cases, therapeutic or counseling assistance.
You know Most of the fairytales we know don’t delve into personal growth or individuality when it comes to relationships. Both partners in a relationship need to maintain their own identities and keep growing as individuals.
…
People don’t pay much attention to this aspect of personal development in fairytales.
We need to break out of the fairytale template, but how?
Recognizing what is achievable is the first step. Realize that the goal of a relationship should not be perfection but rather progress toward mutual understanding and appreciation. The things that cement a relationship are embracing one another’s flaws and overcoming obstacles together.
A solid foundation for every healthy relationship is open and honest communication. Instead of relying on luck or fate, real-life couples should communicate their hopes, fears, and emotions freely and honestly.
Creating confidence and self-understanding ought to go before the quest for a cheerfully ever-later. Before focusing on a relationship, having a solid handle on your personality and aspirations is vital.
…
In simple words, while fairytales are fun and charming, they don’t act as a model for relationships, in actuality. Cherishing somebody deeply isn’t tied in with keeping away from difficulty or finding Mr. or Ms. Awesome.
It’s about being there for each other through thick and thin, enjoying the highs and lows of life together, and becoming better versions of ourselves over time. Quitting the fairytale formula isn’t the same as giving up on romance; rather, it’s about embracing a version of romance that is more genuine, satisfying, and sustainable in the long run.
