Your soulmate is your greatest life lesson, not your forever love.
Diving deeply into the secret parts of yourself is what a soulmate lover connection asks of us.
A soulmate lover helps us to face our shame, our fear, and our darkest shadow selves.
A soulmate lover shows us what we are capable of becoming and how we may truly love ourselves and, therefore, how we are capable of loving others.
Or how we are failing.
A soulmate lover is not your happily ever after. This connection is a winding journey of self-discovery and self-reclamation.
The person who allows you to be all of yourself as you embrace all of who you are, the good, the bad, the ugly, and even maybe the insane at times.
A soulmate is a mirror, a glimpse into the depths of your own vulnerability, which you may not be able to embrace without knowing them.
A soulmate asks you to view yourself as you really are, to see them as they truly are, and to accept every part of each other… the parts you hide, and they seek. The parts you seek, and they hide.
A mutual journey of discovery, not a judgement.
To explore depths together that can not be reached on your own.
Soulmates don’t always end up together, though the lesson they give stays within a person’s psyche for the rest of their life.
They create a pivot point on the line of our lives.
The before and after. The person you were before you met them and after is forever changed and transformed.
You can not return to who you were before them. You can not unknow what you know of the life they made you realize was possible.
And this is their true purpose. To show you who you truly are. To remind you what you are worth. To show you what is possible in love and in life.
And what parts of your life will be forever changed by your soul mate? What will you do with this soul mate lesson?
