In ancient Greece mythology, the nine Muses were looked upon as inspiration for creativity, art and science. The daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, their names were Clio, Euterpe, Thalia, Melpomeni, Terpsichore, Erato, Polymnia, Ourania, and Calliope
The Muse, as an energy has been my longtime companion, play buddy, inspiration and at times persistent lover. This Spirit of Creativity has kept me company for as long as I can recall, even as far back as childhood when It had me concocting whimsical stories that were baked in my all too vivid imagination. It sometimes awakens me in the middle of night to download ideas it calls forth and I am helpless to resist.
I have met a few people over the years whose role it has been, to inspire me to dance my dreams to life, to write the words that come through me and not just from me, to express what I see and feel in ways that invite others to enter into the scenarios with me.
I like to think I have taken on that role for others as well. Recently, I had a conversation with someone who has been a Facebook friend for years and we finally set aside time in our busy schedules to meet via Zoom. Her name is Marianne St. Clair and she claims the title of Muse. As we spoke, I could observe myself nodding in agreement with what she was saying and recognizing the value in allowing that magical energy to flow through me.
How would you define what it means to be a Muse?
The Muse is a powerful source of inspiration and guidance. The Muse is a feminine source of inspiration, pleasure, and play. She is a source of wisdom, guidance, and insight. She helps you tap into new levels of genius, and she helps you expand your capacity for joy and pleasure. With her help, you can transform the way you lead and create more meaningful, fulfilling work.
Why, in these times, do we need the energy and inspiration of The Muse?
It is my soul’s calling to muse C-Suite leaders by sparking their creative inner genius so they can experience more complete and fulfilling professional and personal lives. C-suite executives are under extreme internal pressure due to post-pandemic changes, and external challenges such as climate change, world events, and the disruption and shortages to the supply chain.
The leaders often develop a problem with drinking, drugs, gambling, porn, sex, or other compulsive addictive behaviors to cope with the demands of their high-pressure jobs. This can go unidentified because of their ability to mask the problem due to the authority of their position and the resources at their disposal.
These executive leaders mold the world through the decisions they make for their companies and their families. When they seek unhealthy coping mechanisms it not only affects the bottom line of the corporation but also can have a far-reaching global impact.
The world is ready for Muses to return. Muses’ blessing and support were often essential to the creation and were highly respected and valued. We are seeing a revival of the Muse. And it is my calling to lead the way. Gallup’s annual Global Emotions Report measures people’s positive and negative experiences worldwide, giving leaders insights into the emotional health of their societies, which traditional economic indicators don’t capture.
• In 2021, people worldwide felt more worried, stressed and sad than at any time in the past 16 years. They also had fewer positive experiences than they did in 2020.
• 28% of people said they experienced a lot of sadness the previous day, the highest percentage ever recorded. 42% of people said they experienced a lot of worries the previous day, up from 40% in 2020.
How did you choose that life, or did it choose you?
Being a Muse is my innate nature. I have always been creative and express my creativity through different mediums such as photography, painting, expressive arts, and evening the healing art of massage. I intuitively have this deep nudge or knowing inside that keeps driving me to bring the gift of the muse to the mainstream.
What ideas do you share to help people live orgasmically, as you refer to it?
Living Orgasmically is a state of consciousness where one makes pleasure a priority and most of all choices one makes are in the direction of pleasure. When sexual energy is no longer bound by body consciousness and no longer limited to the bedroom or physical sex.
Sexuality and creativity spark from the same chakra, the sacral center below our abdomen. Our sexuality, when harnessed for its transformational potential, can change the world.
Orgasmic Living is when you live life as your playground experiencing the creative sensual flow of the divine as a way of life. When we live fully expressed in full sovereignty cultivating and harnessing our creative energy, we can tap into our genius in the realms of the unknown field of possibilities and change the world.
I first came to understand that sexual energy could be cultivated and harnessed for other purposes many years ago through the wildly popular book, Think and Grow Rich, published in 1937 by Napoleon Hill, which is one of the best-selling personal development books of all time with over 20 million copies sold.
Over the years, I’ve focused on immersing myself to develop a deep understanding of the body and sexual transmutation so I could one day realize my dream of creating an orgasmic life and sharing these concepts with others.
Here’s the reality though…
If you’re like me (well how I used to be anyway), you’re probably pretty disconnected from your body (it’s just a meat suit to carry your mind, right?). And yet, while your desire for connection and fulfillment has grown over the years – your unsatiated hunger for it still remains. Quite simply… If you’re consistently experiencing sexual tension and chasing a release, day after day, or even multiple times a day then you will inevitably keep depleting the energy that you could be used to tap into your genius flow to create the things you want. Frankly, if you keep chasing sex and money and trying to feed that hungry ghost with addictions like alcohol, porn, mistresses, and workaholism, – you’re crazy or will go crazy!
