Kinda disagree.
Different for the individual.
Decent generalization.
Yes, I found s*it that happened in my life, traumatic.
I also found not knowing I could have a purpose in life, then discovering that I could have one – but I didn’t – or know how to – then when I did, couldn’t express or develop it, a very traumatic f**king process.
I found during that calling, awakening and becoming, it was easier to blame trauma or addiction.
Easier to give labels.
Blame genetics.
Chemical imbalances.
Blame “My” depression, anxiety and pain.
Having money actually made it worse. Funny…
Not looking for personal support, looking to give some support.
Or anyone else who wants to support others with me with this message.
Cause I finally can give it. I get it. I was there.
I’m just sayin, it might be a bit of both; trauma AND a lack of purpose.
The reason I say this, the closer I got, and still get to what’s true for me; my purpose, and service to that, the better I look after myself and seek ways to heal the trauma at a deeper level and eliminate things that hold me back.
Give a man or woman a reason to bounce out of bed, it changes things.
The big picture.
So find your purpose.
F**k off anyone who says you’re crazy or a joke.
That it can’t be done.
That’s them just expressing to you their own limits.
If you feel like you’re ready for something more, identify what you are good at and what you enjoy, and like Gary V. says, go make it what you love and are best at.
It’s simple.
Whether it’s a business, a sport, raising a family, working for a company you believe in, reforestation, or f**k whatever.
Don’t stop till you fill yourself and feel whole.
Feed your soul.
And along the way do some emotional mindset work.
Evict the victim and let go of blame.
You may find you are in fact not an addict, alcoholic, binge eater, smoker, depressed, angry or anxious insomniac.
You’re just working your sh*t out.
And that’s okay.
