More often than not we don’t realize the power of our own thoughts. We don’t realize that our thoughts can actually control us and the actions in our life. We neglect to even realize that our thoughts can actually become reality in our own minds.
When we are in a situation, we can have positive thoughts or we can have fearful thoughts, right? So whatever we are thinking at the time directly translates into how we feel and interrupt everything around us.
If I were to walk into a room thinking everyone is judging me or that everyone is out to get me, I’m going to feel fearful, I’m going to feel small, and I’m going to want to run out of the room as fast as I can.
However, if I feel very powerful in my own life, I’m going to walk in with a different stance all together. I’ll have my head up high, I’m going to be happy to meet new people and I won’t feel or act scared or shy. So instead of wanting to run out of the room, I will actually want to stay and meet new people.
When you’re more aware of your own thoughts, you can be more successful and confident, and you’ll be able to handle different situations in a much better way.

Think about that the next time you step into a new situation that might usually give you fear. Ask yourself, is there a reason for this fear or is this something I created in my own mind? Because remember, when you walk into a situation feeling “less than” it’s very difficult, almost impossible, to see the situation in a positive and helpful light.
I’m not telling you exactly how to change your thoughts, because before you can actually change your thoughts and go through a step by step process you have to become aware of your thoughts.
Begin today to realize when you enter into a new situation, to pay attention to how you are thinking about the situation, and how you feel about yourself, because usually the way we feel about ourselves directly reflects on what we think other people think about us.
When you’re more aware of your own thoughts, you can be more successful and confident, and you’ll be able to handle different situations in a much better way. Besides, it’s way better to live a life of power and comfort, than fear and struggle.
