I failed my first driving test miserably.
17 mistakes. The most mistakes my friends have ever heard of. They gave me crap about it for weeks.
I retook the test months later and failed.
Discouraged and scared, I didn’t drive for months until I read this quote:
“What one man can do, another can.”
Motivated and confident, I studied and drove with my mom any chance I could.
I passed my third test.
(Third time’s a charm,” right?)
I didn’t kiss a girl in high school because I had social anxiety. I envied my friends who had attractive girlfriends or were dating the girls I wanted to talk to, let alone date. But:
“What one man can do, another can.”
I read and watched videos before and after class. I read and watched videos when I should’ve been studying.
My grades suffered, but my dating life improved.
I talked to every girl I could. While at school, the gym, work, or Trader Joe’s, I talked to them.
That summer, I kissed many girls. The next summer, I lost my virginity. Two years after that, I experienced my first relationship with the type of girl I used to daydream about.
I became like some of my friends, a “lady’s man,” because:
“What one man can do, another can.”
…
Time Flies is my email list for those who want their lessons about life & love in 2 minutes or less.
