“Go after your dream, no matter how unattainable others think it is.” –Linda Mastandrea
What dreams have you put on hold because you are waiting for things to get better? There are people who are waiting for the economy to bounce back, the government to work things out, companies to start hiring or the next guru’s million dollar business opportunity.
Your life’s vision is not going to magically happen because you read a book or attend a conference. You don’t get to rub a bottle and a genie comes out granting you wishes to make all your dreams come true. If you are waiting for someone to show up unexpectedly at your door to give you a check to take care of all your needs and advance your vision, wake up.
To live out your vision you are going to have to exhaust energy and put forth effort to make things happen. You will have to breakthrough comfortable routines and do something you have never done before. Trust me, I know it is scary and intimidating, but in order to get to a different place in life, you must participate in different actions.
A lot of us have aspirations and dreams to do great things, but are afraid to make the necessary changes to live out those aspirations and dreams. In order to live life at your optimum sufficiency, you must change the way you do life.
I know that a lot of us, if we really admit it are afraid of change. You know you need to break free from some dead relationships, but you are afraid that no one will appreciate you. You keep going back to the same dead-end job day after day because you think there are no other opportunities. You forfeit living your vision because you fear failure and what others might say.
Live out your vision
You have a vision that wants to live through you, but you keep putting it on hold because you are waiting for someone to give you permission. You know you have the God-given skills and abilities to make your vision a reality, but you keep your life on pause waiting for the perfect moment.
What happens when the person you are waiting on never shows up to give you permission? What do you do when the perfect moment never comes?
I tell you what happens, you miss out on living your vision.
As I get older, it seems time is passing by at a faster pace than it did when I was younger. But, the reality is that time is moving at the same pace as it always has. We have the same 24 hours a day, 168 hours a week and 12 months a year that every other person in the world has.
Stop wasting time
The key question is; what are you doing with your time? Are you wasting it on things that don’t make you better or push you towards your vision? Are you forfeiting it on people who only drain and discourage you, instead of empowering and encouraging you?
Your time is valuable because once it is gone, you can’t get it back. No matter how much you want to rewind or hit pause, you cannot. Life keeps on moving.
If you want to live your vision and fulfill your dreams, it is time to start now. Don’t wait for the stars to line up, quit expecting the right person to pick you and stop waiting for someday to get things started. Today is the perfect day to start living what you know is possible.
Speak to your life
When you finish reading this, I want you to find a mirror. Look at yourself in the mirror and say “If I don’t do this now, I never will.” Have the guts and say, “Today, I change my life and live out my possibilities.” With intensity and directness in your voice say, “I will live my vision even in the face of fear and doubt.” You are in control of what you speak over your life.
Don’t allow people who have not walked in your shoes and who have not been through what you have been through talk you out of living your vision. Don’t let pessimistic attitudes and negative outlooks influence you to hold back on living your best life.
You have the right to go after your vision. Let your mind flow in creativity. Let your mouth speak life. Let your unique gifts rise to the forefront. Let your vision live.
