I have trust issues,
I remember asking my uncle where my cousins were and why we would no longer see them
He turned to me and said my uncle is no longer there and we were no longer welcome in his home
I cried thinking it was my fault
Wondering why he wanted nothing to do with me.
I was lost in confusion
I loved the happy times we shared
The laughs, the giggles
I found out prison was his new home
My black heart
I couldn’t hold back
I no longer believe what they said about him….
