Each week I sit down to write articles for any number of publications including here on The Good Men Project. Rather than have you read my thoughts today, I thought I’d share some of my favorite quotes.
After all, who doesn’t love a good quote? Good quotes are short, but they pack a punch. They make you think. And every once in a while, you come across one that could change your life. The following quotes are ones that changed mine.
Jim Rohn
“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.”
“Set a goal to become a millionaire for what it will make of you to achieve it.”
Robert Kiyosaki
“My poor dad said, ‘I can’t afford it.’ My rich dad asked, ‘How can I afford it?’”
Will Durant
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
Michael Jordan
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Brian Tracy
“Turn your car into a mobile classroom.”
Tony Robbins
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”
Kim Kiyosaki
“Many people say that money is not the most important thing in life. That may be true. However, money does affect everything that is important – your health, your education, and your quality of life.”
Jackson Brown. Jr.
“If you’re looking for a big opportunity, seek out a big problem.”
Earl Nightingale
“You become what you think about.”
Napoleon Hill
“What the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.”
George Bernard Shaw
“Lack of money is the root of all evil.”
Keith Cunningham
“If you do not consciously make good habits, you will unconsciously make bad ones”
Stephen Covey
“People cannot think outside their vocabulary. Just try it and you will see how your thinking is confined to your language.”
Zig Ziglar
“You can have everything if life you want, if you will just help enough people get what they want.”
Joe Montana
“If winning wasn’t important, people wouldn’t keep score. Like it or not, we live in a world that keeps score.”
Maximus Aurelius from Gladiator
“Brothers, what we do in life… echoes in eternity.”
Anthony J. D’Angelo
“If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it.”
Myles Munroe
“Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.”
Steve Jobs
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”
