Therapy over my gender dysphoria made me consider different ways to express myself. Though I consider manhood to be part of my identity again, there is some perhaps non-traditional clothing that has stayed in my closet.
That includes capris.
They are avocado green and must be for a 6-foot-7 man like me because they fit me, unless the designer made capris for a 6-foot-7 woman.
Still, I admit it’s unique. I’ve only seen this design on women. It’s the type with the little pockets and cuts in the butt that look like there are back pockets, when in actuality, it’s just for show.
But excuse me as I say that I think that men are wrong to not wear them. Again, if they are my height, they are probably more meant for us than females the size of Brittney Griner do not walk down the street routinely. So it truly is a matter of logic.
But find shirts with that match the given color (it’s not like I chose the bright yellow ones) and it hardly even looks that abnormal.
And if it does, so what? How do you feel in them?
It’s felt good – and when I haven’t, it’s been because of my self-consciousness.
You may live in conservative areas, where you could get attacked. But I live in such a region and nothing has happened to me.
I know, it’s weird.
But perhaps only so weird. Even Nike sells a running version of capris.
(And why call them “manpris,” as I’ve seen on the internet? Let’s own them for what they are!)
