Can I stop feeling this pain? I mumbled bitterly over some bottles of alcohol I was trying to gulp in a bid to feel better about my situation.
Because it seemed as if my whole world has crumbled. All our plans, hopes, and dreams suddenly disappeared into thin air as the relationship ended up in the dumps.
For sure, I did everything I could to save my crumbling relationship but to no avail. The more I tried, the more messy things became.
It got too toxic and painful that I couldn’t hold on anymore. The relationship was no longer friendly to my mental health. So I had to end my pains even though I loved her, even though I knew it would cost me more pains.
It’s been over 16 months now, I have long pulled through the heartache and sorrows of my previous relationship.
But I finally realized that a lot of relationship breakups were a result of women having little or no understanding of male behavior.
Because just like women, men are also guilty of sending mixed signals to the opposite sex and can be difficult to deal with and understand at times.
But we aren’t that complicated. Once you understand a few things about male behavior, you’ll find us a lot easier to get along with.
So, here is a sneak peek at what we men, really wish you knew:
…
1. We really want to help you get over difficult situations.
You don’t need to always do things all by yourself.
Or will I go far to say being too independent doesn’t matter when it comes to attracting men? No, but you don’t have to act as if your boyfriend or man is insignificant.
After my breakup, I decided to go on a blind date with a girl. And during our conversation she straight up told me that she’s overly independent, she doesn’t really like to be helped by guys because she believes she can do all things herself. As she thinks depending on men will give them control over her.
On the contrary, allowing your boyfriend or man to help doesn’t necessarily make you any less independent neither does it give him control over you, but it gives him the confidence and fulfillment to feel his presence in your life
And one of the toughest headaches for a man is having a partner who doesn’t allow him to help as we men wouldn’t love to just fold our hands and watch our women suffer.
That’s the key reason why we really want to help you get over every difficult situation as our heart naturally aches when we see our loved ones suffer.
…
2. Frequently nice compliments won’t be bad.
Most women make mistakes by thinking that men do not desire to be complimented.
Maybe because most guys act as if they don’t care.
The truth? One of the best ways to make a man feel good and wanted is by complementing his appearance or some little things he does.
Not only does compliment make a man feel good or make him stay around you, but it also has the power and ability to change the texture of his brain in ways that are not always noticeable.
It even makes him more confident as it satisfies his sense of selectivity and reminds him why you keep choosing him over others
You should try to pay him a sweet and nice compliment now and then. But the problem? An overly frequent compliment can start to feel insincere over time. So, please don’t do that.
…
3. We can also be emotional.
Sadly, there are a group of women and even men out there who believe that men are always tough and able to deal with difficult situations by focusing on the solution rather than wasting a whole year feeling emotionally down.
They think men should never show emotions to a woman, They always believe men to be over-aggressive, dominant, and bold.
But the reality is far better than what we see in Hollywood movies or fictional novels. Because there is no living superman, which means men are also emotional beings.
Men can also go through all cycles of emotion. (eg. depression, frustration, get motivated, complain, and loses motivation, get excited, lose interest, etc.) when they are hit with difficult situations of life.
So whenever your man comes to you in an emotionally low state give him that support, be his best friend and help him defeat the difficult situation.
…
4. Excessive clinginess Is a turn-off.
Being extremely attached to your partner emotionally and physically is clingy.
You are supposed to spend more time with your partner and have romantic moments together as it keeps the fire of love in your hearts alive.
But women please don’t be excessively clingy.
Instead, understand the simple truth that everything has its limits. And learn to spend time apart with your partner because knowing when to give him space is attractive.
Trying to check on your partner frequently, is romantic but excessively checking on your partner may be suffocative to him and kind of control.
That’s why I will always say, making a lover feel loved, appreciated, and wanted is one thing, but suffocating him with some needy and crazy habits is just another story.
…
5. Our honesty is well-intentioned.
The vast majority of women often get paranoid about some men’s inability to use tact or diplomacy to deal with very embarrassing situations.
And it creates unnecessary drama most of the time.
The underlying reason why women pick offense over our honesty is that they misunderstand that our honesty is well-intentioned as it shows how much we care about them.
Would you like it if your man tells you that a cloth that looks bad on you is great simply because he thinks you like it and doesn’t want to upset you?
Sure, everyone does lie at times. But we men, are told from childhood not to lie to someone we truly care for.
…
6. It won’t be bad if you appreciate our reliability.
Again, this is another thing that men wish women know that is often missed by women.
A jerky guy isn’t interested in many of your preferences, desires, and even dreams. A nice and reliable guy is always supportive and will help you achieve your goals or dreams
A jerk doesn’t understand or care about your feelings and emotions or even what you’re thinking. A nice and reliable guy connects emotionally with you as he easily understands your feelings and emotions.
A jerky rarely pays attention to little but important things. Unlike a nice and reliable guy who can go as far as asking what you want whenever he goes shopping alone.
However, it’s shame that women tend to be more attracted to jerks than reliable men.
Hence, the more reliable men sense that those jerks get more affection and attention the more they’ll likely choose to become jerks too.
So, if only a woman will learn to appreciate her man’s reliability, he will become more committed to their relationship.
…
7. You can be the boss behind the closed door.
Two different stories from my personal experience illustrate the right and wrong way to please a man behind the closed door.
(Story 1) There was this girl I was dating some time ago, whenever we are in bed making out, she’ll always make it seem like a forced s*x as she just stares dormant and makes some funny sounds.
(Story 2) There was another lady I met afterward. She was completely different. She unleashes her hungry demons, expresses her fantasies she is actively involved in every inch of the game as she gives good directions and explanations.
The bottom line?
Women who always give explanations and participate actively don’t only intensify men’s intuitions but also heightens their pleasure knowing that they’re in the same mood or state.
…
Unless you understand and comprehend few things about male behavior, you’ll always find men difficult to deal with.
While all men are not the same and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to understanding men as everyone is different, I think bearing the above-mentioned things in mind will make dealing with men easier
