Honkai: Star Rail 2.1 & First Anniversary
One of the most important happenings in the upcoming V2.1 Phase 2 is that it coincides with Honkai: Star Rail’s first Anniversary! The game originally debuted on April 26, 2023, so we can expect some rewards coming our way to celebrate!
So far we know that players will receive 1,600 Stellar Jades on April 26th but we have a feeling that Honkai: Star Rail developers miHoYo will dish out additional rewards to ring in their first Anniversary!
At the start of Ver 2.1 Phase 1, we already received some great rewards in anticipation of the game’s anniversary with 20 Star Rail Special Passes from the Festive Gifts event and the rewards-packed Cosmodyssey board game.
For now, the only confirmed reward is the 1,600 Stellar Jades on the anniversary day but we’ll keep a lookout for any announcements as we approach the day.
If you’re unlucky and don’t manage to pull HSR Aventurine, Acheron, or any of the past limited-time characters, check out U7BUY to find Honkai Star Rail accounts for sale with the character you want available and leveled up!
Upcoming Events in V2.1 Phase 2
Tides of War
The latest event dropping before the next Honkai: Star Rail update is Tides of War, a brand new battling event where you’ll face off against waves of enemies to earn limited-time and permanent rewards.
Tides of War is similar to past battling events like the Boulder Town Super League and Tales of the Fantastic. It focuses primarily on battling, unlike the other more ‘story’ focused events with varied gameplay elements like Aurum Alley’s Hustle and Bustle or the Everwinter City Museum management sim.
The Tides of War event will plunge the Trailblaze squad into a fighting game built in the familiar Memory Bubbles on Penacony. There are a total of 6 combat stages with each unlocking one per day of the event’s duration.
In battle, you’ll have to face off against boss enemies in 3 waves, and you have to complete the battle in 6 cycles. Non-boss mob enemies will respawn continuously, so focusing on defeating the boss is the strat for this one.
To help you through the intense battle, there’s a ‘Grit Mechanic’ which accumulates Grit Value to increase the Grit Phase. The more Grit Phases you level up to, you get ‘Stage Buffs’ to power up.
The event is scheduled to start on 13th April 2024 and will be available until 6th May 2024.
Memory of Chaos 2.1.1
After the release of Tide of War, we’re also getting the latest Memory of Chaos 2.1.1 on 15th April 2024 which will be available until 27th May 2024. The latest Memroy Turbulence mechanic is a great one too that makes most MoC teams viable this time around.
The name of the game here is ‘Memory Imprint’ which is applied to all enemies after any and every ally attack. Each attack applies 1 stack of Memory Imprint to the current wave of enemies, which increases DMG received by 5% and can stack up to 6 stacks.
This means you can stack up to 30% extra DMG received on enemies which is already powerful on its own. But to add to that, once Memory Imprint stacks to the max 6 stack, it will deal DMG to all enemies based on a percentage of each enemy’s MAX HP. This damage instance happens once.
Each enemy that enters the battle will receive the existing Memory Imprints stacks on the current wave of enemies so it’s easy to stack up massive damage quickly.
Overall, a solid Memory of Chaos refresh that hopefully makes it easier to 3-star each stage.
Realm of Strange
On Honkai: Star Rail’s first Anniversary, 26th April 2024 we’re also getting the Realm of Strange event that will be available for a week until 2nd May 2024. Similar to past events of its kind and the currently running Planar Fissure event, this is the time to farm for some relics.
The Realm of Strange event increases Cave of Corrosion Relic drop rates by 300%, so you’re getting 3x more relics to mitigate the god-awful Relic farming system in the game. It’s a welcome event perfect for grinding for new relics for both Acheron and Honkai Star Rail Aventurine so we’re not complaining!
Honkai Star Rail 2.1 New Character Overview – Aventurine HSR
The most highly anticipated addition with the upcoming Honkai update is Aventurine Honkai Star Rail, the brand new Imaginary damage dealing Preservation character. Here’s a look at Star Rail Aventurine’s abilities for reference –
- Normal Attack – Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 50% Star Rail Aventurine’s DEF to a single enemy.
- Skill – All allies receive a ‘Fortified Wager’ shield. The shield blocks DMG up to 16% of Honkai Star Rail Aventurine’s DEF stat + 80. The shield lasts for 3 turns. The best part is the Shield effect stacks whenever allies receive Fortified Wager and can reach up to 200% Shield + the current Skill value.
- Ultimate – Honkai Star Rail Aventurine gains 1 to 7 points (stacks) of Blind Bet. The amount of Blind Bet received is random while simultaneously dealing the ‘Unnerved’ status to a single-target enemy. Enemies with the Unnerved debuff will receive a 9% CRIT DMG increase from ally attacks. This effect lasts for 3 turns. The Ultimate also deals Imaginary DMG calculated by 162% of HSR Aventurine’s current DEF stat to the targeted enemy.
- Talent – The Effect RES increases by 13% for a single ally with Fortified Wager. While an allied character has the Fortified Wager shield and is attacked, Aventurine HSR gains 1 point of Blind Bet. Honkai: Star Rail Aventurine also gains 1 Blind Bet point when attacked. When Blind Bet reaches 7 points, Aventurine Honkai: Star Rail will consume 7 points to deal a 7-hit follow-up attack. Each hit deals Imaginary DMG based on 25% of Aventurine’s current DEF stat to a single random enemy. Blind Bet can reach a total of 10 points. Additionally, while Fortified Wager is active on HSR Aventurine, he has complete resistance to CC (Crowd Control) debuffs and the effect can activate again every 2 turns.
- Technique – Honkai Star Rail Aventurine’s Technique increases all allies’ DEF stat for 3 turns. The amount of DEF increased is based on luck and has a chance to grant one of the following buffs – normal chance to receive 24% DEF increase / high chance to receive 36% DEF increase / small chance to receive 60% DEF increase.
All in all, with stackable shields, a follow-up attack, CRIT DMG increase, Effect RES increase, CC resistance, and DEF increase, Aventurine Honkai Star Rail is looking to be a powerful and irreplaceable sustain unit for your teams!
