The field of mathematics and data science is fast-paced and demanding, requiring exceptional skill to make an impact. Presently a Machine Learning Manager at Adobe, Sai Kumar Arava, rose through the ranks with a passionate work ethic and has proven himself as an expert data analyst, mathematician, and AI computer scientist. During his ten years of work in these fields, Arava has made many impressive contributions to his field, identifying and solving problems related to machine learning and how it impacts B2B and B2C solutions.
Career Growth and a Love of Mathematics
Arava was always interested in math. Winning several math competitions throughout his childhood, he was quickly introduced to programming, eventually earning a place in an excellent college in India. There, he discovered machine learning and data science and became fixated on how math could be used to optimize business and marketing.
Fascinated by the rise of data science around 2012, Arava began his career as a data scientist. His background in math and statistics drove him to his next position as an Algorithmic Engineer, and this experience led him to become a Machine Learning Engineer. His current role as a Machine Learning Manager was earned through his unique insights into analysis.
Arava has used this skill to successfully launch key projects that have netted millions of dollars for the businesses he has worked with. His work with such businesses has proven that AI technology and machine learning can be invaluable to even Fortune 500 businesses, whether by impacting the B2B or B2C aspects of their marketing strategies and gathering essential data on their business or product.
Arava’s Influence in Marketing and Data Science
One example of Arava’s impact on the industry was his assistance in the launch of a Fortune 50 company. As Arava recalls, “The customer didn’t expect a huge amount of traffic so we built a system for which we expected a million viewers in a day. But during the launch, the viewership broke 10x, which made the customer happy, but at the same time, we had to make it work.”
While great for the customer, Arava and his team had to keep things functional even through this unexpected influx in traffic. Arava’s systems had to support levels of traffic comparable to global enterprises to keep the customer satisfied. Despite the pressure, Arava is always glad to be a part of these launches.
AI is the cutting-edge of every business today
Arava’s impact on B2B and B2C solutions through AI research and development has aided in the marketing attribution processes of major companies, establishing his prominence in the field. He says that the efficiency of AI in data analysis makes marketing attribution an easier problem to resolve. In his experience, Arava feels that any business that deals with large quantities of data should use AI and machine learning, having personally proven that these solutions can increase value generation.
Arava’s work with Fortune 500 and Fortune 50 companies has demonstrated the capacity of AI and machine learning for B2B and B2C solutions and has propelled him to his current station as a Machine Learning Manager at Adobe. Even now, he is working on an extremely challenging AI project that intends to combine the latest in generative technology to provide radical insight into business data.
