For the past month, I’ve been on crutches. I broke three metatarsals in my left foot, falling down the stairs (every January, I seem to injure something by falling down the stairs. Last year, I tore my left rotator cuff!). Anyway, I have had a few men rush to open doors for me. And a few rush to open multiple doors for me. A few men have even dropped their stuff and whatever they’re doing to come help me open a heavy door. Let me tell you, opening doors for a lady goes a long way when she’s on crutches!

I open the door for anyone on crutches. But I tend to also hold the door for anyone, regardless of sex or injury.
I have had many women hold doors open for me when my hands are full – and even a few apologized when they didn’t hold the door after realizing that I’m wrangling a 3 year old and a 3 month old.
The women help you too right?
No,seriously,it’s a real question.
Seconded. And not to in any way take away from the beautiful sentiment of the peice…
Just curious.
