‘Constantine’ is out now on 4K Ultra HD
DC films can be hit or miss lately. I enjoyed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, although it wasn’t as good as the first movie. Shazam: Fury of the Gods was enjoyable and told the next chapter in this story. Joker: Folie a Deux was not great and had a really bad ending. When I heard Constantine was being released on 4K Ultra HD I hoped I might get a chance to watch it. I was able to get a review copy of this film and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Constantine here:
A movie about a man who has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost.
I had a great time watching this film. There is plenty of action, some suspense, strong dramatic moments with some clever comedy sprinkled in. While the story moves along a few twists come to the surface that change things for some of the characters. As this movie comes to a close, it is clear that the adventures aren’t finished for this character. ‘Two Decades of Damnation’ had the cast and crew talk about making this film and how much fun they had working on it.
Constantine is available now on 4K Ultra HD and Digital.
