‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ is out now in theaters
I have enjoyed each of the Planet of the Apes movies. They were action packed and the special effects were truly a sight to behold. In each film the next part of this series has been told in a way that is a joy to watch unfold. When I saw that first Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes trailer, I hoped I would get to check it out. I was able to attend a screening of this film and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes here:
Set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes gets 7.5/10. The plot is slow at first, and the story takes a while to get interesting. The visual are stunning and we see Noa go on a pretty intense adventure. Along the way they make a friend or two and uncover some shocking truths. When they arrive at a strange place, they have some tough choices to make. Once this film comes to a close, it appears this story isn’t over yet.
