XXX Return of Xander Cage is a messy action film that wasn’t much fun to watch
I think Vin Diesel is a good actor. I liked him in the original XXX film, and he was amazing in Guardians of the Galaxy as Groot. He does mainly action films, and when done right they can be pretty good. His new film XXX Return of Xander Cage is coming to theaters, a sequel to the first film. I was able to see it early and here is what I thought of it.

After coming out of self-imposed exile, daredevil operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) must race against time to recover a sinister weapon known as Pandora’s Box, a device that controls every military satellite in the world. Recruiting a new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself entangled in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of government.

I personally didn’t like XXX Return of Xander Cage that much. The action is so over the top that it got old for me real fast. The film throws a few surprises in there but this film is so predictable that very few of them caught me off guard. What I hated most about this film though was the character Becky Clearidge, played by Nina Dobrev. This was because she drags down pretty much every scene she is in, and her attempts at awkward humor got no laughs from me. Overall this is an okay film, but definitely won’t be for everyone. XXX Return of Xander Cage gets 5/10. Â The characters are too crazy, the action is unrealistic, and the plot is not that exciting. I wish this was a good film, but it just isn’t. Some people will like it, but most of them should just miss this one altogether.
