A big decision gets made in ‘The Secessus Clause’
Last time on The Santa Clauses, we returned to the North Pole. We learned Santa had a new helper, and that things had changed much in the world in the last 28 years. The nice list kept getting smaller, and Santa was beginning to lose their magic. After a visit to their doctor, Santa decided to do as little as possible the next year. Sadly this ended up not working that well. As this episode came to a close something terrible ended up happening to Santa. Now Santa makes a big decision in ‘The Secessus Clause’. I was able to watch a screener of this episode and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the premise for ‘The Secessus Clause’ here:
Scott learns that, by way of the Secessus clause, he can retire, but he must find a worthy successor before doing so. Torn between wanting to retire and not wanting to leave the North Pole, Scott taps his children as possible candidates. He quickly realizes none of them are interested in the role, but instead want to know more about the world outside the North Pole.
Something bad has happened at the start of this episode. The elves can’t get a hold of Santa and they fear they might be in trouble. Thanks to someone doing something drastic, Santa ended up being alright. But this got them to thinking it might be time to make a big decision. Santa pays a visit to their son Charlie and gives them the opportunity of a lifetime. When they saw no thanks, it definitely takes Santa by surprise. After talking to his wife and kids Santa decides it is time for them to retire. As this episode comes to a close we see the elves aren’t taking this news that well.
The Santa Clauses ‘The Secessus Clause’ is available now on Disney Plus.
